フランス土産 その２ - Things I got in France ＃2

今回、チーズも買うなら、チーズのカッティングナイフと
カッティングボードを買おうと思ってました。

FROMAGEと刃にデザインされているカッティングナイフは
サン・ジェルマン・デ・プレのかわいいキッチン雑貨屋さん
La Vaissellerieでゲット。

ここにはお手頃価格な食器やキッチン雑貨がいっぱい。

シンプルで美しいデザインのカフェスプーン6個セットお買い上げ。

普段、いろんな調味料を料理の時に使うので、
小さいスプーンはたくさんあっても重宝します。

ナイフと合わせて、7€弱でした。

気に入るカッティングボードはなかなか見つからなかったのだけど、

後日、ルーブル美術館から（知らないうちにパリの合羽橋と呼ばれる
エリアを）散策中に偶然見つけたお店キッチン用品のお店LA BOVIDAで
手頃で持ち帰りに軽くて済むものをゲット。6€位でした。

（まあ、普通の白木のまな板だけど、シンプルなデザインで、
チーズを載せてそのままゲストにサーブしても良いかと。）
こちらのお店も歴史が感じられてなかなか良かったです。

プロ用のお店のようですが狭い階段を降りていくとワクワクします。

ただ、一部価格が€でも、もちろんフランでもないような謎の表記？？

I also tried to get a cheese knife and cutting board and found nice ones at last during walking around the streets in Paris. 

I found several fancy kitchen goods stores where we can find lovely & stylish things with rather inexpensive prices.

フランス土産 その１ - Things I got in France ＃１

何だか、ブランド品とかには全然ドーパミンが出ず、
今回の旅行でゲットしたのは、殆ど「食」品関係。
グルメ大国フランスを支えているのは、
農業酪農王国でもあるゆえなのだ、とつくづく実感しました。
だからスーパーやマルシェ（コンビニすら）、行っちゃうと、
もう楽しくて仕方がない♪♪

で、旅行記よりも、まずはお気に入りのお土産品の紹介デス。

（英語ではサっクりと書く事にします。何だか、忙しくて時間がないので。）

全部まだお試ししていないのですが、今のところ一番のお気に入りは、友人とSkypeしている時に目にしたこれ。

（我々のSkype タイムは長時間ゆえ、お互い途中でおやつ食べながら、なのです）
クリスピーかつ香ばしい胚芽米パフのおせんべにチョコレートが塗ってあるガレット。
私が一番そそられるBio（オーガニック）＆ダークチョコレートをチョイス。
ああ、夢のコラボだー。
大きめのおせんべサイズで８枚も入ってて、な、なんと
１ユーロ！！（スーパーのプライベートブランドだからお安いの）

3袋買って来たんだけど、帰国後3日目にして2袋食べちゃったー。

（あ、でも、ほら、ヘルシーですから。そこら辺のお菓子より）

かっぱえびせん以上にやめられない、止まらない。
ああ、30袋とか、もっと大人買いしておけば良かった。
（まあ、結構かさばるんですけど。）

I really enjoyed shopping to get local foods at supermarkets, marché and even at convenience stores in Paris.

And the most favorite thing so far among the foods I got is "Galettes de Riz". 

It's really yummy and I could not resist eating everything in 2 packs just for 3 days after my return home... I should have got more, suppose 30 packs?

強く匂うもの交換 - Exchanged food with a strong smell

お世話になっている同僚へフランスのチーズのお土産。

カマンベールなのに、これが、かなりの匂い！

ジップロック系４枚で厳重包装でも、危険な感じ。

その時に甘い香りのアップルマンゴーをいただきました。

台湾からお取り寄せされた食べ頃のアップルマンゴーは、もう、

それは幸せな匂い！

休暇明けの現実の中で、デスクに漂う南国の香りに救われました。
御馳走様でした♪

ああ、台湾行きたいなぁ～

I bought a Camembert cheese for my colleague who always supports me as a souvenir of my trip to France.

To my surprise, it was the Camembert cheese with the most strong smell which I got or ate before. Actually, a Ziplock bag was useless to prevent from leaking the smell among my suitcase.

At the same time, he gave me a ripened apple mango he had ordered and arrived from Taiwan.  It has a very strong sweet smell which made me happy although I had to struggle with the reality at work after coming back from my vacation.

Hope I can visit Taiwan, my favorite place soon!

駅近でこんな自然 - Nature close to a station in central Tokyo

We went to Todoroki Keikoku last Saturday. 
It's incredible to find a little valley located so close to Todoroki station.  We enjoyed the scenery along with a little river surrounded by tall trees.

It was my friend's birthday and we cerebrated it at a restaurant "Ramukana" which serves cheese fondue with many tasty & fresh vegetables from all over Japan. 

パリ行きの支度 – Getting ready for my trip to Paris

いよいよ、今度の日曜日にパリに向かって旅立ち♪
お土産とか向こうで料理するための調味料とか何やかんや買ってたら、
大きなスーツケースの半分は埋まってしまった。ひゃー。
ちゃんこ鍋の素とか、結構、重い。
でも、フランスの食材で和風ポトフにしてみたいのだ。
I am leaving for Paris this coming Sunday!
I’ve got so many things to bring to my friend...
Soup stock in a Retort Pouch for Japanese hot pot is rather heavy but I want to try this for “pot-au-feu” with vegetables & meat in France.

スリが横行しているらしいので、
鼻眼鏡かけたら誰も寄ってこないかなーとか考えつつスリ対策検討中。
They say pocket picking often occurs in Paris and I am wondering I should wear glasses with nose & mustache to pretend to be a geek but it will never make anyone get closer to me…
