#1 あそぶ浮世絵ねこづくし＠そごう美術館・横浜
時に擬人化され浮世絵に登場してきた猫。
今回、浮世絵美女と一緒にリードをつけた姿で描かれた猫達をたくさん発見してびっくり！
昔は犬よりむしろ猫に首輪つけてたみたい。
#2 複製技術と美術家たち ‐ピカソからウォーホルまで＠横浜美術館
こちらは年に1回は訪れたい美術館で開催の企画展。
大好きなマチスの作品もあり、大満足！
複製技術の進歩によるアートの変容もよくわかりました。
横浜美術館は常設展も充実しています。
Original Ukeiyo-e by Hiroshige Utagawa
I had a shot with that Ukiyo-e and Yokohama landscape – gimmick by the museum.
I was surprised to find we used to hold cats in leash in old times and enjoyed to see personified cats in Ukiyo-e – they are so funny and lovely.

Cats have been adored around the world for ages. In Japan, the general public began keeping them as pets in the Edo period and as Ukiyo-e took off as an art form, felines began making all sorts of appearances in these prints. The Sogo Museum of Art presents around 140 works of Ukiyo-e by masters such as Kuniyoshi Utagawa, Hiroshige Utagawa, and Yoshitoshi Tsukioka from the Hiraki Ukiyo-e Foundation, one of Japan’s finest Ukiyo-e collections.

I love this museum and try to visit once a year. We could understand various metamorphoses in art as mechanical reproductions have been developing thanks to this exhibition.(From Official web site for the exhibition)
Drawing on works from both the Fuji Xerox Print Collection and the Yokohama Museum of Art, this exhibition explores the artistic visions that preoccupied leading artists during the 20th Century ― an age when the development and spread of mechanical reproduction techniques such as photographic printing and film made it possible for anyone to enjoy art in reproduction.
２つ続けて美術館賞の後は、
散歩しながら中華街の裏通りで四川料理ディナー。
お皿に残った火を噴く辛さの唐辛子タレをお店からもらって、
後日冷やし中華のタレに使ったらサイコーの美味しさでした♪

#3 特別展「生誕150年 黒田清輝─日本近代絵画の巨匠」@東京国立博物館
教科書でも有名な、日本の近代絵画の巨匠の「湖畔」を生で見て来ました。
うーん、、、本物を見ても、教科書で見た時となんら変わらぬ印象。
私的には心があまり動く絵ではありませんでした。
後の奥さんとなる女性がモデルだったというストーリーに興味を感じた位。
女性の美の基準も含めて欧米スタイルが美しい、という価値観が
どんどん日本で広がったのであろう時代感に、ちょっと複雑な気持ちに。
#3 Kuroda Seiki, Master of Modern Japanese Painting: The 150th Anniversary of his Birth @ Tokyo National Museum
I was not so fascinated to see the famous “Lakeside” which we saw the picture on text-books at school, realizing his idea for beauty (physical beauty, especially of a woman) is in the Western style, as he lived an era in modernization.

2016 marks the 150th anniversary of Kuroda Seiki’s birth. Widely known for his painting entitled Lakeside, Kuroda (1866–1924) contributed greatly to the modernization of the arts in Japan.
This exhibition aims to comprehensively look at Kuroda’s artistic achievements through his masterpieces. These include Reading and Portrait of a Woman (Kitchen), which were painted while he was studying abroad, as well as those from after his return to Japan, such as Maiko Girl and Wisdom, Impression, Sentiment.

日本の美はこちらにあり！
おまけで行ったこちらの国宝指定決定記念の展覧会が、
教科書でも有名な、日本の近代絵画の巨匠の「湖畔」を生で見て来ました。
うーん、、、本物を見ても、教科書で見た時となんら変わらぬ印象。

おまけで行ったこちらの国宝指定決定記念の展覧会が、
とても素晴らしかったのです。
教科書以上でした！見飽きることがない、まさに傑作。
しかも、東京国立博物館自体がスゴ過ぎます！！
真剣に見てたら、本館と平成館の常設展だけで一日終わってしまいます。

#4 Folding Screens of Scenes in and around Kyoto, Funaki version @ Toyokan, Tokyo National Museum
I enjoyed this exhibition so much, finding the real Japanese beauty. Folding Screens of Scenes in and around Kyoto, Funaki version was decided to be designated as a National Treasure and you’ll never get tired seeing this exquisite masterpiece.
Also, I found TNM is so amazing. You could stay and enjoy the museum forever like MET, NYC or British Museum….
思わず、くすっとなっちゃった作品達。

私もファンでもある村上春樹と作品を彩ってきたイラストレーター達の組み合わせという素敵な美術展。
好きだった亡き安西水丸さんの作品を間近で見ることができたのも良かったけど
やっぱり、いわさきちひろさんの作品にきゅんっと胸がなり、
そんな自分にちょっと安心した日。
駅から少し遠いですが、カフェも素敵なこじんまりとした訪れる価値ある美術館です。

#5 Haruki Murakami and Illustrators -- Maki Sasaki, Ayumi Ohashi, Makoto Wada, and Mizumaru Anzai--@ Chihiro Art Museum in Tokyo
I love illustrations by Anzai Mizumaru, who drew for books or essays written by my favorite novelist, Murakami Haruki but has already passed away.
It’s so nice to look at his works closely and also good to know I’m able to be touched by Chihiro’s lovely drawings and her strong hope for peace still now.
It’s a small but cozy museum worth visiting with a nice café although a little bit away from the station.

In addition to novels, he has penned essays and picture books in collaboration with such illustrators as Maki Sasaki, Ayumi Ohashi, Makoto Wada, and Mizumaru Anzai. Featuring works from these collaborations, this exhibition will focus on the harmonious relationship achieved between Murakami's prose and the accompanying illustrations. We hope you will enjoy the rich worlds that emerge through these combinations of artwork and writing.
#6 中島千波とおもちゃシリーズ–画家のひみつ– ＠松濤美術館
素朴な民族風手作りおもちゃと花をモチーフにしたモダンな日本画がとても面白かったです。
実際のモチーフとなったおもちゃも一緒に展示してあって、雑貨好きとしても楽しめる趣向になっていました。下絵となる花のデッサンは、ほーぅ、となる緻密さでした。

#6 中島千波とおもちゃシリーズ–画家のひみつ– ＠松濤美術館

#6 Nakajima Chinami and Toy Series: A Painter’s Secret
It’s a very modern Japanese style painting and nice to see the real toys used as motifs and fine preliminary sketches at the same time, exhibited just in front of his paintings.

Chinami Nakajima (1945-), one of the Japanese painters at the forefront of the art world, has said he wants to continue his Toy series of paintings for the rest of his life. This exhibit will introduce about sixty works from the Toy series that overflow with mysterious charm, toys from around the world gathered by Nakajima, and preliminary flower drawing the series.
