漱石の町 - the town of Soseki Natsume

My new place is just away from the old place about 8 minutes on foot,
surrounded by several temples, shrines and many slopes like Kagurazaka.

I found one of the most popular masterful novelists in Japan “Soseki Natsume”
was born in this town and you can see “Natsume” slope named by his father in the maps.
The name of this town comes from his family emblem,
must be big famous family in Meiji period.
I feel somehow curious coincidence cause I wrote about him for my graduation thesis
– After he had studied in London at the time of golden age with the industrial revolution,
he expressed pessimism about progress toward Western civilization.

I must step into a nearby his memorial park soon!
