7月の第２週にちょっと休暇をとって長野の小布施へ。
6月に東京から小布施へ移住した姉とも人生の師とも慕う知人が
古い蔵を改造したプチホテルを予約してくれていました。
クリが大好きな私としては子供の頃から、どこか場所は知らねど、
いただく「小布施」の栗菓子に目がなく、オブセ＝クリ♥と刷り込まれていました。
そんな小布施は、街中が自然の緑にあふれ、花々で彩られていて
古き良きものを大切にする高い美意識で街づくりがされていました。
自由に入ることができるオープンガーデンもたくさん。
庭を通り抜けて違う道へ進むことができるってすごいことで
東京では考えられない。
これからは、「家出したくなったら小布施へ」だな。
I made a short trip to Obuse in Nagano prefecture in the 2nd week of July.
My dear friend, she is like an old sister and mentor in life to me, booked a lovely petite hotel renovated from an old Japanese warehouse.
I have known the name of “OBUSE” since I was a little girl who liked sweet chestnuts so much. I used to find that name on the package of the gifts/souvenirs and then Obuse meant chestnuts to me.
I found other goodness in Obuse for this time. That small town is so beautiful with natural greenery and flowers, trying to keep always value and make use of good old traditional houses & styles in modal life with their high aesthetics.
There are many open gardens to welcome us. You can go through someone's garden to another path and this is just amazing for me living in Tokyo.
I decided I would visit Obuse at times when I want to escape from Tokyo life.
栗の小径(Kuri no Komichi)
小布施の街づくりが生かされている小路。
The path paved with chestnut wood, reflecting the town’s ambiance & concept.
サンクゼールワイナリーショップ(St. Cousair Winery Shop)
こちらで試飲。
小布施ワイナリーも有名とのこと。次回、是非行ってみたいな。
We enjoyed tasting of several wine.
I’d love to visit Obuse winery next time.
鬼場(Oni Bar)
鬼瓦が室内のインテリアに使われている居心地の良いバー。
その時はほぼ貸切り状態。窓の向こうに見えるマグリットの絵みたいな大きな木と三日月を眺めながら
ゆっくり時間が過ぎる夜。
Onigawara(a type of roof ornamentation found in Japanese architecture depicting gargoyle) are displayed as ornaments on the walls of the bar.
We were the almost only guests at that time and stayed at the cozy bar a good bit, looking at the crescent moon & a big tree and they were just like a picture by René Magritte outside of the window.
フローラルガーデンおぶせ(Floral Garden Obuse)
大型スーパーの横に位置する、規模が小さ目なフラワーガーデン。
街の完成度から考えるに、訪れる人たちはもっと期待しちゃうかもです。
今回行けなくて残念だったけど、駐車場を挟んだ地元農産物直売所とジェラート売り場と合わせるとかなり魅力的な場所なのかも知れません。
温室も私の胸躍るアンリ・ルソーが描いた熱帯の雰囲気はなく、
夢の島熱帯植物園までいかなくとも、もうちょっと迫力が欲しいなぁ、と。
木陰で風に吹かれながら、近くの緑の山々を眺めて心おきなくおしゃべりできるのは気持ち良かったです。
It is not a so big flower park next to a shopping center selling local farm products near mountain side. I expected something more for their greenhouse & garden.
But we enjoyed conversations under the trees with the wind fanning us, looking green mountains around.
Coffee & Jazz BUD
蔵を改造したカフェ。デジタルじゃないレコードの音楽を素敵な音響システムで聞かせてくれます。
メニューにあるカフェオレとミルクコーヒー。小布施牛乳たっぷりのミルクコーヒーを我々はチョイス。
A café renovated from an old traditional grain warehouse.
BGM is played by a record player, not digital but analog sound was comfortable to our ears.
In the menu, they have “café au lait” & “milk coffee”. What’s the difference? - We chose “milk coffee” which contains more local fresh milk.
次回はもっとDeepに小布施を楽しもう、と思います！
I can't wait to visit Obuse again and enjoy the town more deeply.
