Day 3- #3 旅の終わりに – Ukimido at the end of our tip

本当は新薬師寺を目指していたのだけど、前日とは打って変わって強烈な日差し。

よって、どこかでのんびり風に吹かれようということに。

ホテルからほど近い浮見堂へ。

ちょっと苦い話や切ない話もしつつ、

大切なことはメールでは伝えられないのだなぁ、と改めて思う。

さっき聞いた雅楽の音がまだ頭に響き渡っているし、

きっと私たちは大丈夫。

奈良は京都とは違う良さをたくさん持っていて

風景もそうだけど、雰囲気も

風通しの良い、昔のままのおおらかさを感じたのです。
何だか大好きになってしまった。
”ならまち”も東向商店街＆もちいどのセンター街も、
路地裏のカフェ発見も、テンション上がる楽しさでした。

中谷堂のよもぎ餅、有名だとは知らずに食したのだけど、本当に美味。
草餅がもっちり、ジューシーだなんて！

We wanted to go to Shin Yakushi-ji but gave up the idea because the road to the temple was too hot under the strong sun.　So we decided to go to a cool place somewhere in the open air.
We spent the time for a while at Ukimido, enjoying gentle winds and chatted many topics.  Several things brought us a sadness & pain in our chest. We realized we cannot convey something important easily by e-mails.  The holly music we heard at the Isagawa shrine was still lingering in my head and I felt we both are going to be all right!  
I do like Nara.  Nara has a lot of beauty of their landscape & ambiance which is slightly different from Kyoto.

People possess a generous heart and we feel peaceful to see  idyllic scenery.  I say it is not easy to find that kind of pure & pristine place at famous tourist spots.
I want to visit Nara again someday in the future.

You can enjoy the old Japanese town atmosphere in “Nara-machi”area and shopping at a long arcade of “Higashi-mukai & "Mochiido" shopping mall”.  
You can also find many cozy cafes in the town.

Yomogi-mochi of Nakatanidou (a rice-flour dumpling mixed with mugwort) are really nice!
