Day 2- #5 雨の薬師寺 – Yakushi –ji in the rain

降り出した優しい雨の中、薬師寺 へ。全然雨が苦にならない。

雨とお寺の風景を愛でながら、何だか、古代、大陸から吹いた風の伊吹を感じるなー(主要な建立物は白鳳時代に。東塔は薬師寺で唯一創建当時より現存している建物で、他は災害、兵火で燃えてしまっているのです。東塔は1300年もの時を経て、只今修復中です。)

会いたかった月光菩薩と日光菩薩。

たおやかにひたすら美しい姿でした。いやはや、美し過ぎる。

「ゲッコウ」「ニッコウ」 どちらも音も素敵だ。

釈迦三尊像* はね、シャカシャンションジョウになってしまうの。

We went to Yakushi-ji in the gentle rain.

We enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the temple in the rain, as if feeling the breeze from ancient era.

I am happy to meet those exquisite Nikko and Gakko Bosatsu statues in Yakushi-ji – they are so graceful & noble standing beside haisajyaguru(Yakushinorai) as saint attendants.

I also like the sounds of “Nikko”(sunshine) & “Gekko”(moon light) in Japanese.
