直接電話で話したことすらないのだけど、
仕事メールの過程で何だか深く響くメッセージのやり取りをしていたのです。
私がパリ旅行するにあたって、「会おう！」ということに。
私は友人Tちゃん宅に１週間泊らせてもらうことになっていて
日本食が恋しいであろうTちゃんのために日本食ディナーを
作る予定だったので、「Japanese Food Party」として、
彼女も呼ぶことに。
当日は、タクシーが急にストライキ。
セーヌ川を越え地下鉄でやって来てきてくれた彼女は、
すっごい大きな花束と共に到着。
（花束の大きさは直径60cm位？とにかく、
大きさもお花も今までもらった中で一番ゴージャス！）
花束はもちろん、持ち帰ることができない生花。
だけど、彼女と直接会ってたくさん話して、そして得たものは
しっかり日本へ持ち帰ることができました。
これは、目に見えないけれど、一番の大切なパリ土産だと思う。
彼女が後でメールくれたように、Pricelessな時間でした。
部屋に彼女を呼ぶことを快く了解してくれたTちゃんにも感謝！
花束の飾りも大きな２つの生花

普通の花瓶にはもちろん入らず、ごみ箱を急きょ花瓶代わりに
I threw a “Japanese Food Party” @ my friend's place and invited my colleague who had moved to Paris HQ office from Boston in US.
Although we had never talked even on the phone, but exchanged mails expressing something deep and essential for each other.
So this would be the best occasion to meet face to face while I was staying @ my friend's room for 1 week.
On that evening, taxi drivers in Paris went on a strike suddenly and she had to come by metro across the river, bearing a large bunch of flowers. - Actually, I have never got such a big, lovely & gorgeous bunch of flowers before!
Of course, I could not bring them back but still, I have brought the most precious thing back to Tokyo after we chatted a lot as if we had known each other for a long time.
Invisible but valuable thing I have got from her. YES, it's priceless as she wrote to me later.
I'd also like to thank my friend who willingly agreed to invite her to this party!
