猛暑にも負ケズ その２ - not losing to severe summer’s heat #2

26日は恵比寿駅前盆踊り。
着崩れる、靴ずれる（実際は草履ズレ）、汗だくる
そうやって踊っているうちに
幾重にもなった踊りの輪の中で何かが浄化されていく

I went to Bon-Odori(Bon Dance) in front of Ebisu Station on July 26.
While we were dancing enthusiastically in big circles, it's so hot, my yukata lost shape & my foot hurt because of (not shoes but) GETA sores.
But all of us could have felt something refreshed & purified, sweating a lot.

７月の折り紙会 - Origami Session in July

テーマはペンギン！
外は猛暑だけど、なんだか涼し気。
（これが意外と難しくて、カフェへのディスプレイ用の納品はこの4匹だけ）
We tried penguins at July Session with our Origami Master.  It's rather difficult than we thought and only 4 penguins could be displayed at our cafeteria.

ミント復活 - Coming to life again

これが出発前。結構、もじゃもじゃ。

Before I went to France

フランス旅行に行っている間に枯れてしまったベランダのミント。
復活してきました！
すごい生命力に感動。
思うに、こういう小さな奇跡みたいなことが、
私たちの世界を創っているのかも知れない。

葉っぱが生えてきました

Leaves are growing

My mints on the veranda dried up while I was away from home for the France trip.
But they are coming to life again!
I am moved by their strong hold on life.
In my view, our world might be filled with this kind of little & tiny miracles just beside us.

大好きなホルモン焼き屋さん - My best HORUMONYAKI

炭火焼ホルモン まんてん (MANTEN)

目の前の七輪で炭火焼きを楽しみながら

とても丁寧な仕込みの新鮮ホルモンを満喫できるお店です。

美味しくて、普通の焼き肉より好きになってしまったほど。
清潔な店内、お店のスタッフも皆さんとても素敵で

さりげない接客も、これがまさに「おもてなし」だって思います。

できたて麦茶を出してくれたのは忘れられない。

お店の外まで見送ってくれる店長さんの笑顔も。

それら全てが、後で忘れられない時間だったと

気がつくこともあるのですね。

満ち足りた子供のように幸せになれる時間。

いつもお腹いっぱい、御馳走様でした。

I really love this restaurant.
We can enjoy fresh & well-prepared Horumon,
broiling on a wire sheet over SHICHIRIN (Japanese earthen charcoal brazier) by ourselves.
I’m also impressed by their exquisite customer handling (not too much but in a casual way), clean interior, etc. - This is the "OMOTENASHI", right?

I was always full like a little child to be content with food & every moment at that restaurant and now I realized how they are unforgettable.

 いろんな種類のホルモンで、味もいろいろ楽しめます。

Many kinds of HORUMON, variety of taste.

めずらしいベビーコーン。蒸し焼きのほのかな甘み！

Baby corns tasted good with delicate sweetness.

荒木町の美味しいフレンチ – A fabulous French restaurant in Araki-cho

ONZI（オンジ）

店名はで岩手の言葉で次男坊という意味だそうです。
岩手ご出身のシェフと奥様が切り盛りする、
小さいながら洗練された空間でとても居心地の良いフレンチレストランです。
ハーフポーションメニューもあって、おひとり様でもお食事をいろいろ堪能できる心遣いも素敵です。
お店の方と直接いろいろお話しできる距離感もこのお店の良さですね。
お料理も絶品です。（私の中でのナンバーワン賞２つ更新）
前菜盛りのプレートからして、我々による大絶賛の嵐。
サラダと、デザートもいただきましたが、全て大満足の美味しさでした♥
It’s a small but very cozy in good atmosphere France restaurant owned by a chef born in IWATE and his wife. They serve exquisite French cuisine, mainly using wonderful ingredients from IWATE.
I can’t express enough our praise but all the dishes we tried were really amazing.
They have a half size menu so even one person can try various dishes.
We also ordered a green salad and desserts with coffee and enjoyed them with perfect satisfaction.

☆ナンバーワン・ムール貝に決定！ My best blue mussels

I had missed in Paris but I could be proficient with the best mussels at this restaurant. So it’s worth waiting for me. We chose the mussels from Normandy in France with saffron sauce.
I’ll never forget about that really good taste - they are small but have rich taste.
フランスで食べることができなかった今がまさに旬のムール貝。
サフランソースと合わせたノルマンディ産をチョイス（小ぶりだけど、味が濃厚だそう）
いや～、フランスで機会を逃したのは、これを味わうためだったのだと、納得。

☆ナンバーワン・ポークに決定！ My best pork

Incredibly soft and juicy precious pork from IWATE roasted at low temperature approx. for 40 minutes. While roasting, we all should be attracted by the good smell from the kitchen!
龍泉洞黒豚真二郎肩ロースの低温ロースト
牛肉のような柔らかさの豚肉。でも、牛のような肉臭さは全くなし。
今迄食べてきたありとあらゆる豚肉とは違います。
焼いている時のあの、真二郎くんの信じられないほどの良い匂いったら！
結局お店にいたひと全員が頼んだのでは？（じっくり低温ローストで40分位かかります）

かんざし – KANZASHI

This lovely Kanzashi is a birthday gift from my friend.
Well, I almost always roll up my long hair by using a “Red ball point pen” or “Yellow maker” in the office. (YES, they are convenient not only as a writing implement.)
But with this Kanzashi, my hair is like this. Isn’t it cool?
友人からBDプレゼントにいただいたかんざし。
いつも会社で「赤ボールペン」か「黄色いマーカー」でくるくる髪をまとめてたけど、
（社内トレーニングもその姿で出席したりしてるという。。。）
この素敵なかんざしで髪をまとめるとこんな感じデス

私の好きなセルビアンブルー♥ かんざし入れもまた素敵なの。

普段の洋服にも似合うけど、浴衣に合わせるのも楽しみ！

The main glass ornament of Kanzashi is my favorite color, Cerulean Blue.
The fabric case for Kanzashi with a Japanese modern pattern is also very cute.
It would look good on my daily clothes but I can’t wait to 

put in on my hair when I am wearing YUKATA.

6月の折り紙会 – Origami Session in June 2014

6月のテーマは「ムササビ」

さて、「モモンガ」とどう違うの？
「モモンガ」はハムスターみたいで、「ムササビ」はかなりでかいんだって。

知らなかった！
確かに英語名でそれがわかりますな。
モモンガ→「空飛ぶリス」／ムササビ→「空飛ぶ巨大リス」

The theme of the Origami session with our Master on June was “Musasabi”
I was not sure about the difference between “Musasabi” and “Momonga” but it turned out a “Musasabi” should be much bigger than a “Momonga”!
Now I can understand clearly from their English name. – “Flying squirrel” for “Momonga” and “Giant flying squirrel” for “Musasabi”

七夕みたいに出会ったネコ – A TANABATA cat?

七夕の前日に、ご近所の街角にあちらこちらある

きれいな七夕飾りの笹を撮ろうとiPhoneを手にしてたら
コインパーキングの向こう側にいるネコと目が合ってしまった。
そしたら、こちらに早足で向かって来る！来る！！

When I took out my iPhone to shoot a beautiful bamboo tree the previous night to TANABATA, my eyes met a cat’s at the opposite side of a coin-operated parking and he came over to me at a trot!

おお！この美しい猫はちょうど1年前位に出会ったコ。
もう会えないと思ってたのに、会えちゃうこともあるのですね。
側を離れてくれないのでしばし戯れちゃいました。
途中、誤って動画で撮影しちゃった（ネコ語で会話）。

He is the one I met about 1 year before.
I thought I would never meet him again but I could!
I played with him for a short while because he would never leave me.
I photographed a moving picture by mistake while we were conversing in cat’s tongue.

さて、今年の七夕の願いごと。

ゲリラ豪雨にも負ケズ、亜熱帯のような熱風にも負ケズ
自分ひとりだけの満足や幸せじゃない
誰かにとっての一番を考えられる
そんな人間でありたい
けど、弱い自分達も否定せずに。
だって人間だもの

パリでまた食べたいお店 - I want to eat AGAIN in Paris

ルーブル近くの歴史あるパッサージュ、ギャルリー・ヴィヴィエンヌ内にあるワインバーですが、ランチもやってます。

お店の外のテーブルでもお食事いただけます。

（もちろん、上にはパッサージュの屋根があるので強い日差しや

急な雨からも安心）
A fabulous wine bar located under the one of the old Passage Couvert; Galerie Vivienne
Weekly special lunch plates are available with recommended glasses of wine.  You can also select from their wine list.  

お皿右側に載っているタプナードみたいなものが
本当に美味しくて、おかわりしたかった位！
お店のスタッフもとても親切です。
週替わりでランチメニューが変わるそうで（10€～）
料理に合うおすすめワインもメニューに書いてありますが、
ワインリストから好きなグラスワインを選ぶこともできます。
かわいい女性スタッフにフランス語メニューがわからないから
英語で聞くと笑顔で「インターネットで調べてきますね」って。
他の男性スタッフもとても丁寧な接客サービスでした。

オペラ座近くのカジュアルで居心地の良いカモ料理専門店。

テーブルごとに置いてあるお洒落なトースターで自分たちでパンを焼くのです。鴨のフォアグラ載せて召し上がれ！

A cozy duck specialty restaurant near l'Opéra.  You can enjoy nice food and the atmosphere is also good.　We can toast bread in the toaster on the each table by ourselves.

実はサイドディッシュのポテトが激うま！ガーリックとローズマリーが効いてて香ばしい。量が多くて食べきれず、お持ち帰りしたかった。。。

We got some food to go for our picnic beside the Canal Saint-Martin here.  The shop is small but food was really tasty and I love their stuffed Tomato the most. Yummy!!

イートイン可能なおしゃれなお惣菜屋さん。お店の外観もとてもラブリー！

いくつか選んでテイクアウトして運河沿いでピクニックを楽しみました。

ここのトマトのファルシー、今まで食べた中で一番の忘れられな美味しさ！

アボガドのワカモレ風サラダも、爽やかでかなりの美味。

ちゃんとフォークももらえます。

夢の美術館 - The best fantastic museum

I visited Musée Gustave Moreau and it really fascinated me - I wish I had been there earlier but at last my dream came true.　

I had a dream like time surrounded by many masterpieces by him all over inside of the museum renovated from his own house.

I felt as if he was still living there, sensing his look & breathing.

His esthetic paintings drawing the Greek myth & holly Bible worlds sometimes overwhelmed and sometimes attracted me beyond the sense of good and evil.

ギュスターブ・モロー美術館に行ってまいりました。
ここは、ずっと前から行きたかったところなのだ。

本当に期待以上の素晴らしさ！

一面の大好きな彼の作品に囲まれて、夢のような時間でありました。

モローの自宅を改装したこの美術館では、

彼の強い眼差しと息遣いが感じられるよう。

華麗で繊細な彼の絵は、善悪を越えた耽美な世界観で

神話と聖書のテーマを描き切っていて

時として圧倒されて、時にうっとりしちゃいます。

◆カモを追いかける犬→そして力尽きる  A dog chased after a pair of ducks but gave up at last

It's a lovely day! 

We enjoyed the picnic beside the Canal Saint-Martin

 運河のそばでピクニック中見かけた光景。カモのカップルを追いかけ回すも、力尽き。

結局、飼い主に首根っこ掴まれて、引き上げられてました。

  The owner finally grabbed him by the scruff of the neck, out of the canal.
