シネマナイト - Cinema nights

この冬、いわゆるミニシアター系の映画を見る機会がありました。

I went to watch movies (shown at mini theaters) twice this Winter.

#1 フランシス・ハ (Frances HA)

旅がテーマのフュージョン料理のレストランで映画を観た後、

シェフが映画の続きを料理で表現し、

我々はその料理で映画の続きを楽しむ趣向の会に参加。

何だか、地べたに座って映画鑑賞なんて子供の頃以来でわくわくでした。

シェフの想い入れいっぱいのお料理も、すばらしかったです。

映画製作手法的に映画を観てる感はあまりなかったのですが、

不器用すぎる主人公の気持ち、女性なら誰もが共感できる部分があると思います。

女性は傷ついた分、しなやかに生きていくのです。

タイトルの意味は最後に判明。

主人公らしくて、くすってなっちゃいます。

I joined an event at a French-Japanese fusion restaurant where we could enjoy a cinema and then dishes which was specially cooked by the chef.  The chef was inspired by the story and tried to express a next chapter after the ending of the cinema through cooking.

Girls sometimes have to live like Frances, the heroin, naively and awkwardly against our will.  Sometimes everything doesn’t go well at all although how hard we tried and got hurt deep inside of our hearts.  Then, we would have strong and flexible mind after tears.

You should smile to know the meaning of this cinema’s title at the end of the film.

ふーむ、きれいにまとまっていて
かなり大人になってしまったフランシスって、感じ？

#2 エヴォリューション (Evolution)

フランスの女性監督による美しくて幻想的な映像と

シュールでグロテスクなストーリーが展開されるファンタジー。充分、ホラーです。

そう、童話やおとぎ話のオリジナルって、

よくよく意味を知ると残酷だったりしますよね。まさにこの世界。

結構忘れられない映画になりそうです。

Very impressive cinema by a female French director with incredibly beautiful images but sometimes weird with the unbelievable grotesque and surreal story.  YES, a fantasy or fairy tale is sometimes very cruel and horrible when we know about  the real meanings like this cinema.
