秋の便り - Chestnuts told me Autumn has come

栗好きのくりコとしては、店先に栗が並ぶと血が騒ぎます。
早速、ゆで栗と栗ごはん。
あー、幸せな秋の味覚だ。
I love chestnuts and cooked them right after I found them displayed at the greengrocer's. 
I enjoyed the happy taste of autumn.

こんなにたくさんあったのに、ほぼ2日間でなくなちゃった。。。

I almost ate up the boiled chestnuts in a big bowl for just 2 days.

一旦、栗を焼いてからお米とお出汁と一緒に炊いているので、香ばし～♪

お月見 - Enjoy the full moon

９月９日はスーパームーン
まんまるの月光が眩しくて
月明かりで自分の影が浮かぶ不思議な夜に
ワインを飲みながら友人と一緒に願いごと
夜空の女王の光の下
すべてのものが静かに見えた
There was a super moon on September 9th.
We gazed at the full moon shining so silvery, 
I felt strange when I could see my shadow even if it's a usually dark place.
I & my friend made a wish drinking some wine.
Under the light by Queen of the night sky,
I saw as if everything was frozen or hardly daring to breathe.

お月さまにちなんで、オレンジのマリネをチョイス

（出てきたものは丸くなかったけど。。。）

We chose marinated orange, thinking about the full moon.

行く夏 - Passing summer made me sad

わ！と思ったら打ち捨てられた感満載の犬の置物だった。
夕暮れ時にこういうの見かけちゃうと何だか切なくなる。
いろいろあった夏が終わっていく。
A dog made of resin discarded outside of a house surprised me.
I feel a pain in my chest to see like this at the time of sunset.
This summer is about to end with a lot of memories including my sorrowful feeling.

夏の終わりの小さなお祭り - Late summer festival

ご近所の神社でお祭り。
いいな～、こういうの。
もう1回位、浴衣着たかったなー

A small summer festival at the shrine near my place.
I love this kind of atmosphere reminds us of old Japanese life.
I wish I could have another chance to wear Yukata this summer.

三毛猫が主のふだんは静かな神社です。

It's a usually quiet shrine where a tortoiseshell cat is living.

簡単スムージー - I ♡ smoothie

この夏は手作りスムージーライフ。
スムージーメーカーも売られているけど、
実は氷をクラッシュできないものが多いのだ。
いろいろ検討した結果、
氷も楽々のrecolteのカプセルカッターをチョイス。
これが大正解♪
Lovelyだし、狭いキッチンでも出しっぱなしでもOK！
使い方も、洗いものも、かなり楽ちん！！
あっと言う間に一人分のスムージーが出来上がり～
料理の下ごしらえにも活躍中です。
実は一目ぼれしたCuisinartフードプロセッサーを持っているのだけど、
棚から取り出すのがなかなか面倒。。。これはもっぱらポタージュ用だな。

さて、私的美味しいスムージーのコツは、
なめらかさと自然な甘みを出すためにはバナナを使うこと。
（シャリッと感を楽しみたいときは、代わりにハチミツやメープルシロップ少々で甘みをプラス。）
1本ずつラップに包んで凍らしたものをカットして使用。
材料になる豆乳や１００％ジュースもアイスキューブ状に、
使いきれなかったフルーツや小松菜もカットして凍らしておけばOK。
ヨーグルトは乳酸菌が生きてるままが良いので、そのままで。
いろんな素材を組み合わせてバリエーションは無限！
アサイボールも作れちゃうのだ。

I love to make smoothies using fruits & natural ingredients by a capsule cutter (ice crusher & food processor by recolte).
It's so easy to make and wash!
My recommendation is to use bananas for yummy & soft smoothies with natural sweetness.

実家の居間にも、その姿が違和感なくあったりする、という。。。
例えば、梨汁キャンディ。 「美味しいよ。食べる？」と母に勧められる。

このふなっしーは、母の友人による手編み作品。すごい完成度。

Funassy, the pear fairy, is sandwiched between an apple…

CNN introduced Funassyi as a cute, cuddly, and sometimes bizarre mascot. Unlike the other mascots who are calm and quiet, Funassyi is loud and energetic. He talks a lot in a high-pitched voice, ending his sentences with his catch phrase, “nashiii!”
Each “YURU-chara - loose character" mascot represents a city or prefecture and their appearance is linked to their place of origin.  Funassyi insists he is a pear fairy & representing Funabashi city unofficially where a lot of pears are produced and my parents are living。

デング熱 - Dengue Fever

デング熱のことを初めて聞いたのは
確かTOEIC対策テストのヒアリングのパートの時。
アジアには「デングゥー」とかいうヘンテコな名前の病気があって
蚊によって広がるという知識はその時に得たもの。
それがこの東京で身近に起こるとは。。。
新宿中央公園からも患者が出たというニュースで
びっくり。
昨年東京に赴任してきたフランス人がマンションを決める際
やたら蚊のことを心配していたのを、思い出す。
その時は心配し過ぎと思っていたけど。
蚊に刺されやすいから気をつけなきゃ。

I remembered when a French medical doctor transferred to Tokyo office last winter and tried to find a apartment, she gave up a nice apartment near the waters of the Imperial Places moats because she was so afraid of mosquitoes.
At that time I thought she worried too much but it turned out she was right.  Now we have to be careful about Dengue Fever, the outbreak after 70 years in Japan.
We are astonished to hear this disease strange to us spreading so fast and the patient numbers are now over 70 as of the first weekend in September.

そんなデング熱の大騒ぎをよそに、新宿中央公園には

Regardless of these bad news, Art installation by Emmanuelle Moureaux Architecture + Design appeared peacefully in Shinjuku Central Park where a patient of Deng Fever got a mosquito's bite.

高尾山から教わったこと - Mr. Takao told me something

8月最後の週末は久々の高尾山を6号路で。
なんとかお天気も回復、絶好のハイキング日より。
沢沿いの6号路は緑がきれいで、
初めての高尾山で友人に連れて行ってもらった
一番好きなコース。

雨上がりのきれいな空気の中、リフレッシュ！
だけど、
お気に入りの場所の空気や風景を楽しむためには、
一緒にいるひとが一番重要なんだと、
思い知らされてしまった。
フィルターを通しての風景はいつもと変わらないけど
自分で目にする風景は、全然違う気がした。
自然からこういうことを教わることもあるんだ。

I climbed up Mr. Takao on the last weekend in August.
The weather was not so sunny but nice for hiking.
I like the trail #6 best since my friend took me to Mr. Takao for the first time.  It's along the streams surrounded by trees and leads to the top of the mountain. 

I was refreshed in the clear air after the rain.
But for this time,
I realized the most important thing to enjoy atmosphere and scenery of a place from my heart is the person sharing the moment together.
The shots through lens of my camera are beautiful as always but I say the actual scenery from my eyes somehow looked quite different.
I've never dreamed Nature tell me this kind of thing.
