かえる好き– I ♥ Frogs

同僚が名古屋出張で買ってきてくれたお土産 -
かえるちゃんまんじゅう♡
（え？味は。。。でも、いいの、この場合。）
わざわざ探して買ってきていただいて感激。
箱も大切に使おうっと。

なぜかわからないけど、昔からカエル好き。
-- 大きくてイボイボのじゃなくて、
可愛いきれいなグリーンのヤツ。
未だに触れることができるのだ。
水の中のオタマジャクシが地上のカエルに
メタモルフォーゼするなんて本当にすごい。
これってこの世の生きとし生けるものの不思議のひとつで、
まさに天地創造主のみぞ知ることなのかも。
カエルは神様の御使いって言われているからね。

My colleagues tried to find "Kaeru(frog) MANJU" during Nagoya business trip and got them for me.  I was so happy and shared pretty frogs to team members. - Everyone smiled.

(Well, it might be difficult to say they are not too sweet, and just one bite would be enough for me but I LOVE it!

They are so CUTE!!)

Of course, I will use this lovely box at my house to keep something.

I don’t know why but I like frogs

– NOT a big warty toad but only tiny lovely one which has beautiful green skin.

I can even touch them still now.

They said a frog is a messenger of a god.

See, it’s so amazing to see a tadpole in the water metamorphoses into a frog on the ground. 

That’s still one of the wonders of all lives in this world

and the world is filled with a lot of mysteries heaven only knows.

In April, we found tadpoles in a spring small pond.

初夏の使者 – A messenger from early summer

朝、通勤途中にさえずりが聞こえて、とあるビルの１F駐車場を覗いたら
つばめが！
きっと、巣作りの場所を探しているのだ。
帰りも同じビルの前で私の目の前を横切って飛んでいったので、あの場所が気に入ったんだなーと思った数日後、
りっぱな巣ができていました！

ひな達が無事巣立つといいですね。

I heard a birdsong one day in the morning on my way to the office and found a little swallow at a parking lot on the ground level in a building.
She must be trying to find a place for nesting.
My way back to the station on the same day, again I saw she was flying out from the parking lot.
I was happy she liked the place and after several weeks later, I noticed a big nest near the ceiling.
Hope her baby birds grow up safely.
In Japan, they said swallows bring us happiness and we try to keep their nests as much as possible.

ご近所の神社の主（私の守り主）が、、、入口に陣取って守ってました。

She, a mascot for me, is the guardian of the shrine in my neighborhood.

Well, nobody could't go through without her permission.

おでんの日より – A Day for ODEN

急性胃炎で、夜通しトイレでおえおえな後、
ほぼ４日間で消化した固形物はゆでたまご1コ。
病み上がりで気温もうすら寒い、そんな時には「おでん」！
冬場じゃなくても美味しいですなぁ～
丁寧にとってあるお出汁もご馳走です。ああ、美味しかったー

たくさんいただきました♡

冷酒もこんな素敵に出されるといいですな～
私はひと口だけ。もちろん。

It's so nice - SAKE(Japanese rice wine) was served like this.
I sipped just a little bit.

Acute gastritis made me down and my stomach could digest only 1 solid food – a boiled egg for almost 4 days.

The temperature dropped due to bad weather, so we decided to eat “ODEN - a Japanese food of stewed ingredients ” like a rule at the night of the holiday of a cold season.
YES! It’s so goooood even if it’s not a cold season.
The authentic DASHI(Japanese soup stock) should be also staple food when you taste fabulous Japanese cuisine.

アネモネに想いを寄せて – Expressing my friendship in an anemone

I made a chic brooch with an anemone(one of my favorite flowers) and small roses for my friend’s birthday gift.
She is living in France and I made it thinking about her, hoping she would like it.
Actually, I was happy it was delivered safely before her birthday and I got a heart-warming message from her.

フランスにいる友人の誕生日ギフトとして制作したブローチ兼壁飾り。
私の好きな花-アネモネを丁寧に作りました。
（普段、黒系が多い彼女だけど、こういうピンクだったら似合うと思うのだ）
誕生日までに無事届いて、とても喜んでもらえて良かった♪♪

もんじゃの夜 ‐ A Monja Night

私達お気に入りのもんじゃ屋さん「てまり」
もんじゃストリートの奥迄行かずとも、
この名店は一番入口にあったりします。
味が濃すぎない絶妙なもんじゃが楽しめます。
初めて月島を訪れた時に、地元の魚屋さんに美味しいお店は？と聞いて教えてもらったお店です。
モチめんたいチーズが、もちろん一番のおすすめ。
あんずジュースもご賞味あれ！

クレイクラフトのレッスンの後、
大きなトピアリーを持ったまま月島散策も楽しかった♪
佃天台地蔵尊 - 民家とのすごく狭ーい隙間にあるお堂の中に
屋根を突き破って巨木が生えています。一見の価値あり。

Our favorite Monja restaurant is “TEMARI” in Tsukishima, located just near at the entrance of MONJA street. 

Monja is wheat flour-based, pan-fried savoury batter (don't judge by its looks!) with various fillings, thinner than okonomiyaki, mostly served in the Kanto region.
My recommendation is "Mochi(rice cake)-Mentaiko(spicy cod roe)-Cheese" MONJA and try ANZU(apricot) juice!
You can enjoy a little excursion in Tsukishima town.
Tsukuda Tendai Jizoson - You’ll never notice it but a tiny temple with a huge tree grown up breaking through a temple’s roof, located in a really really narrow alley between houses.

目に青葉 - Green Leaves in Our Eyes

On a Saturday in May, we went hiking in Okutama, countryside of Tokyo. We walked 10 km “Okutama Mukashimichi” trail which was really comfortable to hike with a lot of green.
On our way, there was a tunnel on a dead track, shrines and suspension bridges (scared!) . We really enjoyed fresh green, murmuring of the ravine, voices of the birds, sunshine filtering through foliage and all of them made us refresh. Of course, ONSEN(hot spring) after hiking was the BEST!!

5月のとある土曜日、奥多摩のむかし道をトレッキング。
全長約10km、緑多い歩きやすいコースでした！

途中に廃線になった線路に使われなくなったトンネル、
サスペンス感満載の吊り橋があったり、
新緑の中、渓谷のせせらぎ、鳥の声、木漏れ日で
心も身体も癒された一日でした。
温泉も良かった♪

お弁当の卵焼き作ってたら、卵が (^_^)

for OBENTO (Lunch Box)

帰りに、家の近所でほぼ一年ぶりに
またあの美しい猫がやって来てびっくり！！
(相変わらず、近寄り過ぎでじっとしていないのでこんな写真ばっかり)
最後までとっても笑顔の一日。

On my way back to my home from the nearest station, I met the beautiful cat again after nearly 1 year.
He or she was too close to me and only could take such a shot.
Well, it was an unforgettable lovely day between late spring & early summer.

おニュー - It's NEW

I said goodbye to my favorite beige Patrick sneakers because they got worn and tattered.
They were tight-fitting & stylish, easy to coordinate with my wardrobe.
Sneakers boom continues and they can be more showy as a trendy item in your coordination.
So I decided to get New Balance sneakers from US. -22cm (US Kid size) but a little bit big for me -It’s OK I can wear thick socks.
The shoelace are too long so I make “double” bows!
Now I feel I can go anywhere with them.
I've been away from this blog as I had been too tied up with many things.
I will try to enjoy this busy situation also, doing my best but not too much - without exceeding my capacity so that I can be myself.

長年愛用していたPatrickのスニーカーがボロボロになり、
お別れすることに。
足に馴染む細身な洗練デザインで、
色もベージュでエレガントだったので
洋服に合わせやすいのが大好きでした。
スニーカーブームもあって、足元がもっとぼてっとしていても
今の旬ぽいカンジなので
新しくNew Balanceのこのコ達を投入。
US子供用サイズの22cm。
私にはちょっと大きめだけど、Patrickとは違って幅もあるから、
厚めの靴下もいけそう。
(海外からお取り寄せ。
迷った22.5cmになると+1,000Yenだったし、結果的に22cm大正解。)
紐が長いので、リボン結び×2！
このコ達とも、いろんなところに行こう。

忙しくてずっとブログからも遠ざかってましたが、
気分も新たに、
やることがたくさんあること、それ自体も楽しみながら
がんばらないで、がんばる(←友人からのメッセージ。
Thanks♡）ようにします！

髪型も変えました。ロングからばっさり、すっきり。

しばしのお別れ、ブリヂストン美術館 ‐ So long, Bridgestone Museum

お気に入りのブリヂストン美術館が改装工事のため、数年間閉館することに。
その前に是非とも、「ベスト・オブ・ザ・ベスト」展に行かねばなりませぬ。
皆、同じ気持ちだったのか、5月1日は今迄訪れた中で一番の混みようでした。
(この展覧会は閉館前に152,002人が訪れたそうです。)
美術館初心者と一緒だったのですが、満喫してもらえたようで私もうれしい♪

「このゴッホの部屋に、ゴーギャンが同居してたらしいよ」などと

ゴッホのゴシップ話も交えて解説を囁いてたら
その絵のとなりにゴーギャンの絵が飾ってあるの見つけて、

思わず、笑！

One of my favorite art museum, Bridgestone Museum of Art was to be closed for renovation.

Before that, I’ve got to go and appreciate the masterpieces during the exhibition “Best of the Best”
On May 1st, it got the most crowded than I had ever experienced – I suppose everyone had the same feeling.
They said this exhibition had 152,002 visitors at last.

I visited there with a beginner to enjoy art who looked very happy in front of exquisite paintings & sculptures.
Sometimes I whispered trivia, just a quick digression looking at some paintings, like Vincent van Gogh’s and Gauguin’s.

We couldn’t help laughing when we found their painting was hanging on the wall next to each other.

私はと言えば、途中、寝不足のあまり、近代美術の部屋の椅子でついお昼寝。
その間、美術館初心者の連れは黙ってじーっと前衛芸術の絵の前に佇んでいたようです。。。ごめんなさい。

I fell asleep in a chair as couldn’t get enough sleep the night before and let the beginner stand alone in front of avant-garde art.　My apology!
