善と悪。陰と陽。男と女。
両方ないと世界は成り立たないんだよ。
これは、数年前にバリ旅行中にトレッキングをした時の現地ガイドさんの言葉。
バリで2番目に高い山を登りながら、“バカボンのパパ”そっくりな賢人が
バリヒンデゥーの教えを英語で優しく話してくれました。
自分の中に悪い部分があってもいいんだ、と、とても気持ちが楽になりました。
他のひとにももっと寛容になれるでしょ？
以来、「ボンパパの教え」は私の生きる指標。
そして、そう、相反するもの同士、きっとバランスが必要なのだ。
バランスに必要なのは何だろう？それが宗教であり、哲学なのかもしれない。

The world cannot exist without both
sides of them.
A
guide told me about the idea of the Balinese Hinduism
when I climbed up the 2nd highest
mountain in Bali several years ago.
(Well,,, he looked so much alike “Bakabon no Papa”;
Bakabon's papa but
just like a Solomon when he gently spoke to us in English.)
Since
then, I can feel at ease more even when I see bad points inside of me.
His
words became my philosophy to be gentle to the others and myself.
And
the world totally needs the balance between them, right?
Then,
maybe that’s why we have many religions or philosophies to balance them.
