夜の紅葉狩り - Red colored leaves at a nighttime Japanese garden

2 days ago before we got the snow was very warm day and I went to view the autumn leaves in Rikugien where are being well lighted up at night right now.

The landscape including reflections on the ponds were really fantastic and much more beautiful than shot images. I think we should keep in mind its beauty with our eyes. I recalled I had ever visited there to view lighted-up “Shidare Sakura – weeping cherry” in the spring, but I say the autumn magnificent scenery with many trees turning red would be worth viewing more.


雪の日の2日前は暖かい日で、夜間ライトアップ中の六義園に紅葉を見に行きました。

池に鏡のように映った風景も幻想的でとても美しかったです。
実際は写真より、数倍美しいのです。こういう風景は自分の目で見て焼き付けるべきですね。

（春に枝垂桜のライトアップを見に来たことがありますが、
この庭園にはもみじの方が多いらしく、とても壮大な景色でした。）

ライトアップされた竹やぶもとても美しかったです。

Bamboo grove was also beautiful.

11月に雪! - It's still November but snowing!

11月24日はなんと、朝から雪。気象庁によると、11月に東京で雪が降ったのは54年ぶりで、
しかも積もった記録は今までなかったそうです。

It's still November 24 but we had snow in some part of Tokyo from the morning!

The weather officials said November's snow in Tokyo is the first time in 54 years and they don't have records that Tokyo is covered with snow in November.

おニューのHUNTERが大活躍でした！

滑りようがないし、濡れようがない。田植えもできそう。
パッケージの箱に書いてある文章、これがスゴく、かっこいいのだ。
ゴム長靴だけど、メッセージが壮大。

It’s good to have “HUNTER” rubber boots, newly bought, for commuting.
The message written on the inside of the box is so cool. Wow!

クリスマスに心を寄せて - Hearts for Christmas

早くも会社のクリスマスチャリティーのシーズン。
ギフトラッピングのボランティアの他に
今年はHappy Doll制作にもチャレンジしました。
思い思いのハートを作っていいそうです。

ひと針ひと針、心を込めて何とかふたつのハートが出来上がりました。
病室の子供たちに
青い鳥が幸せを運んでくれますように。

I also tried making "Happy Doll" this year for Christmas charity event of our company.
Theme is "Heart" and we can design and make heart-shaped mascots freely.
Finally I made 2 Hearts, sewed earnestly with every stitch hoping my blue birds will bring good-luck to kids in the hospital.

餃子＆RUN - Gyoza & Run

今年の東京は秋らしい天気がなかなかなく。。。
11/6、久しぶりの秋らしい週末
会社の同僚5人と、餃子＆RUN。
そう、タイトルの通り、ランニングより、あくまで餃子が主役のこの企画。
気持ちの良いお天気の中、代々木公園を軽～く走って
その後は、餃子(以外も）大いに楽しみました♪

爽やかな空気に、色づき始めた木々。
餃子が待ってるぞーっ、と思うと、うきうき走れちゃうでしょ、やっぱり。


We, 5 ladies who love "Gyoza" got together at the 1st weekend of November and enjoyed running @ Yoyogi park.
"Gyoza"came first than "Run"in the invitation title, but we ran and then enjoyed Gyoza (and many other dishes), of course.
The fresh air in early autumn under the sun after long rainy weathers was very nice, we enjoyed running while looking leaves of the trees just turning to red and yellow and thinking about yummy Gyoza were waiting for us!

江戸のかほり - Like "Edo” period - old and good ambiance

お江戸のかほりがする町(街というより町と書きたいですね）
を散策するのは、楽しいもの。
懐かしいだけじゃない良さを感じたり
脈々と続く伝統の力強さ、
粋と心意気
そういうものが一層、素直にいいなー、と思う今日この頃です。

When walking in towns where we can find something old and good which have been sustained from "Edo"period, we feel relaxed and the moments very special, as the old things don't just make us feel nostalgic but also sometimes realize they are actually modern still now.
I'm impressed by strangeness of traditions and skills with quintessences and spirits from generation to generation since "Edo" period.

　津軽三味線を聞きながら、贅沢なひとときでした♪ ご馳走さま♡
　Lunch @ Kikko in Askusa - My friend arranged for me to celebrate my B.D.
　We enjoyed the lunch listening to live Shamisen music.

☆谷根千散歩　- 谷根千は、やっぱり楽し、素敵♪でも11時間も話し疲れた～
　I love "Yanesen", a typical downtown area in Tokyo with many shrines and temples.
   You will surely have chances to meet lovely cats.

☆佐原　- 11/3 水郷の町へ秋の小旅行。舟で川下りを楽しみました。香取神宮もお参り。
I  made a short trip with my friend to a small beautiful town, Sawara on November 3rd. We enjoyed French lunch in a traditional Japanese house on the river side and also going down the river running through that small town.  We also went to Katori Jingu Shrine and it's really priceless time for both of us.

シャトルシェフの魔術師 - Incredibly easy and delicious

素敵なご自宅にまたお邪魔させていただき
今度は、シャトルシェフを使ったお手製の鶏のコンフィをご馳走になりました。
レシピはとってもシンプルなのに、こんなに美味しいなんて～

シンプルなレシピ程、作るひとのセンスが問われるわけですけどね。
シャトルシェフの伝道師から魔術師と呼び方を変えたい位の美味しさでした!
もちろん、メイン以外のキヌアとグレープフルーツを使ったサラダや
デザートの焼きりんごも秀逸でした～
美味しいお料理、ご馳走様でした♡♡♡

We enjoyed fabulous lunch at the cozy apartment of our friend again.
Her cooking is exquisite and chicken confit cooked by such an easy & simple way using "Shuttle-Chef" was really really good.
She could be a witch having a magical power to cook something special using "Shuttle-Chef"
Of course, other dishes from salad to dessert were also delicious.
