これがジャパネスクなんだな - Japanesque from the view of the westerners

4/25はヒルトン東京の新しい客室の内覧会と日本進出50周年パーティ。

「日本」を意識したインテリアデザインというのが良くわかるけど、
思うに、日本人が考えるところの「和」とはちょっと違う気もする。
清潔でコンパクトな感じは好感持てたけど、
なんだかカーペットの模様とかが、Too Muchな気がするのですよ。

パーティーのお料理もゴージャスでとても美味しかった！
お土産もしっかりいただきました♥


I went to preview of new guestrooms in Hilton Tokyo and party for their 50th Anniversary in Japan on April 25.

I noticed well their concept of interior design is modern "Japanesque" but felt it somehow different from what we Japanese think.
Sometimes it's too much to be Japanese like patterns of carpets though I had generally good impressions for functional & neat rooms.

Anyway, the cuisines were gorgeous and delicious at the party♪
I also got lovely souvenirs!

カーペットに書が？ちょっと怖い。。。（耳なし芳一思い出しちゃった）

Japanese calligraphy on the carpet?   

I recalled a Japanese traditional scared old story...
