夏の思い出 その２ - Summer memories II

我もしてみんとてするなり、と今年の夏やってみたこと

(順不同ですが。。。）
Things I tried this summer

その１- 篆刻
自分の名前の一文字を彫ってみました。

#1 seal‐engraving

I engraved one letter from my name.

その2 - 糖質フリースイーツ作り
糖質フリーということで参加してみました。
が、見るからに糖分たっぷりなレシピでした...。
まあ、白砂糖を使わないのはいいことですよね。
プリンに、そ、そんなに卵黄と生クリーム入れちゃうなんて
私が作るプリンの方がヘルシーです、はい。
スイーツで胸やけする程、お腹いっぱいになりました。

#2 Sugar-free Sweets Cooking

Unfortunately, I found the recipes contained carbohydrate a lot even if the instructor didn't use white sugar.
I think my recipe of custard puddings is much healthier.
We were too full with a lot of sweets we cooked.

その３　写真アートを知る
普段、写真系は行かないのですが
映画と展覧会に行ってみました。
☆フォトグラファーズ・イン・ニューヨーク
途中でちょっと寝ちゃったけど、中々刺激的な映画でした。
写真というものが生まれた時代と
撮るという行為が、誰にとっても普通となった現代では、
フォトグラフィの意味が、変容してきている訳ですよね。

☆トーマスルフ展＠東京国立近代美術館

時代を敏感に切り取るセンスが凄い
デジタル時代の最先端フォトグラファーですね。
9.11を題材としたjpegという作品など

考えさせられることもあり、面白かったです。

#3 To know photography

I went to see a movie and exhibition regarding photography.
☆Everybody Street
It's a exciting move and you can understand the transformation in the meaning of "photography" compared with it's beginning and now.
☆Thomas Ruff @ MOMAT
Very interesting exhibition to see state-of-the-art photography in the digital generation.

I was impressed by his work "jpeg", original image from 9.11 and got scared about the image or reality of the world we are living in now.

その4 - 中国の切り絵
同僚の方からお誘いを受けて、
仕事終わりに会社のカフェで切り絵会。
中国の切り絵、繊細でとても素敵なのです。

日本の折り紙のように、中国では切り絵がポピュラーだそうです。

その後、時間がかかりましたが家で仕上げて、
とっても満足な出来栄えの作品ができました。

#4 Chinese Cutout

I joined a "Cutout" workshop organized by one of our colleagues after work at the cafe of the office.

Chinese cutouts are delicate and beautiful.

She said "Cutout" is very popular in China, like "Origami" in Japan.

Finally I finished it at home and am very satisfied with my work.

その5 - ホタル観賞

渋谷でホタルを鑑賞することができるのですなあ。

平家ホタルはおっとり、源氏ホタルはピカピカ光ってました。

一度にたくさんのホタルを見ることができて感動。

会社帰り、「ホタルの夕べ」に友人と駆けつけた甲斐がありました。

#5 - Go to see fireflies

You can see many fireflies at a botanical garden in Shibuya, central Tokyo. It's amazing!!

その6 - ワイン会ピクニック
代々木公園で、ワインと食べ物持参で
ピクニックスタイルのワイン会をオーガナイズ。
雨続きの中、久々のお天気！
木漏れ日の中、暗くなるまで楽しみました。

#6 - Enjoyed wine in potluck picnic

I organized a picnic @ Yoyogi park, bringing some food and wine.

It's been a long time to have a sunny day and we could enjoy good time under the sunshine filtering through foliage.

その7 - BBQ
新木場(だったけ?)で、BBQ。
上等なステーキ焼いてくれるはずのシェフはどこにいたんだろ。。。

I'm still wondering where a chef was @ that BBQ.  I had heard he would cook wonderful steak for us. 

夏の思い出 - Summer memories

友人と夏休みに軽井沢へ。

折しも３つの台風が日本列島に近付いていた頃で、

晴れ女パワーでもなかなか太刀打ちできず。。。

でも、深い森で聞く雨音も、

目に優しい濃い緑の風景も

癒しの時間となり、とても良かったです。

そう、これぞ避暑かも知れないですね。

I went to Karuizawa with my friend during summer vacation this year.

I am loved by sun when I go to trips, but how can we expect good weather when 3 typhoons were approaching?

Well, it’s a really good experience to hear rain drops in the deep forests and see vivid green leaves of trees from safe and cozy places under the roofs.

心に残っているものは、

ルオムの森の100年洋館にある図書館とカフェ、

庭も含めてアートのセゾン現代美術館、

雨でけぶる鬼押し出し園で見た光る苔。

The following are still fresh in my mind;

A small library and cozy cafe in 100 years-old house at LUOMU forest, Sezon Museum of modern art where the scenery from the windows is also beautiful art and glowing mosses in Onioshidashi Volcanic Park.
