鎌倉デー - Short trip to Kamakura

☆カフェ坂の下 Café Sakanoshita (パンケーキ／Pancake)
お目当てのパンケーキを目指して
長谷駅からしばし海岸線を歩き、ローソン裏、細い路地を
少し山側に入ったところにそのカフェはあります。
ボリュームが想像してた以上でびっくりでしたが、
ペロリといけちゃいます。
日本で昔から言うところの「ホットケーキ」と
むしろ呼んだ方がふさわしい厚さ。
表面はサクっと香ばしく焼けていて、
中はふっわふわ。
決しておうちで食すことはできなかった
子供の頃に夢見たホットケーキが目の前に！
(母が作ってくれるのも、もちろん美味しかったけど)
レトロ感あるお店もなかなか良かったです。
生クリームも上質で甘さ控えめ軽いので、
ひるむことなく召し上がれ。

Voluminous but not so heavy nor too sweet.
You can enjoy thick pancakes with perfect taste & fine smooth soft fresh cream served aside.

☆長谷寺 Hasedera Temple
私は今回初めて訪れました。
山腹に広がる境内、山肌を上れば海を見渡せ、
庭園あり、洞窟(弁天窟)あり、
観音菩薩さまも素晴らしい名刹です。

The beautiful & famous temple in Kamakura – It’s the first time for me to visit there and very impressive while we spent time walking in their garden & enjoyed the view looking down at the shore.　They have the shrine also.

☆鎌倉すざく Suzaku （墨の専門店／Bamboo Charcoal Shop）
水の浄化や煮炊きにも使える竹炭を購入。
古くなったらお風呂に入れれば遠赤外線効果でポカポカに。
鎌倉は海に近いだけあって、実は湿気がすごいとのこと。
地面から湿気をシャットアウトするために、
こちらのお店兼お宅では墨を敷き詰めてあるそうです。
We got several sticks of bamboo charcoal at this shop.
Bamboo charcoal can purify water and make it even more tasty with adding some minerals.
They absorb odors & humidity.

☆若宮陶器 Wakamiya Touki (食器屋さん／Tableware Shop)
普段使いにベストな食器がたくさん。
小どんぶりにもぴったりな和モダンな深い器がとても気に入り、
(江の島着いたら荷物はロッカーに預けようということにして)
思わず購入。
ちょうどSALE中、良いお買い物をしました。
I bought 2 medium sized bowls in modern Japanese design, perfect for soup & salad at a bargain price.

☆とある食事処 A Seafood Restaurant
江ノ電の駅から江の島に行く途中には、海鮮を食すことができるお店がたくさんあります。
えのすいを満喫すべく早めの夕食。
やったー！その日の「本日の焼き魚」は
ずっと食べたかった念願のさざえ！しかもふたつ！！
魚じゃない？けどいいの。ああ、大満足。「本日のおさしみ」はタイとカンパチでした。

There are many local seafood restaurants along the street from Enoshima station to the Enoshima island.
We enjoyed fresh seafood before going to the aquarium.


☆えのすい　Enoshima Aquarium
もう楽しかったと！しか、今では書くことができません。
その後スパに行く計画だったのですが、
えのすいを満喫することに。

チームラボによる今はやりのプロジェクションマッピングや
デジタルアートと一緒になったイベントもたくさん。
かなり混んでましたが、童心に帰って楽しみました。
(すごいのは、片面しか書いてないのに
反対側の姿を見せてくれたり、
その魚の特性にあった動きしているらしいこと。
よってクマノミは他の魚と比べて小さくなって、
ちょろちょろ素早く動いてなかなか見つからない...）

友人作のウミガメと私作クマノミが奇跡的に一緒になった瞬間。

So much fun!
Many special programs & events in the aquarium were produced by team-lab, a popular “Tokyo ultra-technologist” group producing new digital art with science, technology and creativity.
We applied colors and expression on fish shapes printed on the papers by ourselves and our fishes were scanned and then they began to swim ｔo all the directions on the screen just in front of us!!
A miracle happened; my friend’s sea turtle & my clown-fish came across in a moment.
It looked as if all the virtual fishes were programmed to swim like the real ones.
So I could not find my clown-fish easily while turtles became big-sized and swam slowly.

亀戸中華！ - A Chinese restaurant in Kameido!

We went to a Chinese restaurant in Kameido with seating capacity is "500" people but found the guests were only "5" of us at that night last December.

Well, I could not believe that but all the dishes were amazing and tasty as the organizer, one of my colleagues told us.  Furthermore, the cost performance is incredibly good.
Then, we don't always have to go to the crowed China town in Yokohama.
We recommend to go there for dinner, not lunch buffet offering as much as one can eat for a standard charge.  They can't get good reputation by word of mouth on the internet, maybe they just try to keep the price low and increasing the amount for their food at lunch time.
We should not believe all the information on the internet but can believe it from people who you actually know and trust.

収容人数500人！なのに、
お店の中、我々５人だけの中華ナイト in 亀戸。
東京大排档
中華街迄行かずとも、ディープな中華はここにあり。
安くて旨い！ときたもんだってわけです。
昨年末の有志飲み会は
雰囲気もロコ感満載で海外旅行気分。
豊富過ぎるメニューから選んだ料理はどれをとっても、
かなり美味しかったです。
美味しい北京ダックをこんな値段で食べられて、
しかも、肉が入ったボリューム満点なスープも
おまけについてきちゃいます。
最後のデザートに選んだごま団子は
見たこともない大きさで怯みましたが
（大きいやつはテニスボールに近いサイズ）、
揚げたてアツアツ、中は上品な黒ゴマ餡で、
中華街のより美味しい！
但し、「きゅうり」ジュースはやめておいた方が良いです。
（メニューにはちゃんと載っているんだけど
丸見えの厨房をWatchingしてたら、
「おい、キュウイじゃなくて、
本当にきゅうりって言ったんだろうな？」って
シェフが給仕のひとに詰め寄って聞いていたっぽい）
食べログとかの口コミがそんなに良くない模様ですが、
どうしてだろう？
おそらく、ランチ食べ放題のせいだと思います。
（きっと、安さを追求し過ぎたあまりに。。。）
夜はオススメです！
やはり、ネット上の情報が全てではないのですね。
自分が信頼しているヒトからの情報、これに勝るものはありません。

Happy New Year 2016

明けましておめでとうございます。
どうか穏やかな年となりますように。

今持っているものに感謝して、

良き新しいものをしなやかに受け入れて
健康でいられる一年にしたいと思います。
休むべき時はちゃんと休まねば。

時に、努力の結果や眠れぬ日々の後に、
本物だと思っていたものが違っていたということも。
それでも、同じ夢や志を持ち続けるのも良し。
新しいことに挑むのも良し。
だけど、他のやるべきことに対して精一杯で
そんな勇気や気力や時間がなくとも、
普段ちゃんと頑張っている人たちが密やかに願う
大切な、ささやかな夢が叶いますように。

May this year be a very peaceful one.

I'll try to be in good shape with enough sleep & a good rest if needed.
Will appreciate all the things I already have and be flexible to welcome good and new things coming to me.

Sometimes you have to find out what you believed were not right nor genuine after all your endeavors or sleepless nights.
It's wonderful if you can still hold on to your dream or ambition.
You are enough lucky if you can try a new thing.
But I think it's OK if we are not ambitious because we might have something more important, or do not have enough courage, power nor time even if we might have our own dream deep inside of our mind.
Hope small but precious dreams of people just trying to do their best day by day will come true.

ささやかな夢と言えば、ずっと行きたかった
新江ノ島水族館にクリスマスに行ってきました。
期待していた以上の楽しさで、
小春日和の鎌倉の海は、サイコーにキレイだったなー
次は江ノ島自体満喫の旅にしたいと思います。

Well, my little wish came true on last Christmas day. 

I finally went to Enoshima Aquarium with my friend - we enjoyed a lot!
It's an Indian summer day and the sea in Kamakura was so beautifully shining.
I want to explore the Enoshia next time.

along with sea breams & prawns grilled whole 

私は和風ローストビーフを作りました。

I cooked roast beef in Japanese style.
